WIHC May meeting guest speaker

What: Lecture by Rami Suzuki, Senior Director and Head of Business Development at Eisai.

Light dinner or snacks will be served depending on which space we book.

Lecture Title: Shared Value in Health Care

During the presentation we will discuss how the rapidly aging society will require a focus shift in what and how health care is provided. Big data, personalized healthcare, preventative medicine and omics.

While these next generation approaches may yield valuable knowledge, what will be the greatest driver for growth is the empowerment of the patient/person. Those acting now on this principle will be the game changers but who are they?

Dr. Suzuki obtained her PhD in Medicine at Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research at University College London. After her post-doc atImperialCollege,London, she became a venture capitalist for European Life Sciences. Rami joined Eisai European Headquarters in theUKabout 10 years ago and Global Headquarters inTokyoin 2007. Today, she heads Eisai’s Corporate Business Development Department.
