Success Based Hiring
For a variety of reasons, some clients prefer to work on a success only basis. While it can lead to success, it does not come without pitfalls:
- Commitment – should the role prove to be hard to fill quickly, consultants will move on quickly to other, easier roles. Positions may remain open for a long period of time.
- Reputation – success based hiring implies clients using multiple agencies. Leading candidates will be approached by multiple agents for the same role, resulting in mixed, conflicting, messages about both the role and the client.
- Prioritisation – we will allocate dedicated consulting and research support to the search until completion.
- Market Perception – using multiple agencies can cheapen the role and make the client appear less serious than is the case.
